Almost 17 years ago two young and enthusiastic Toastmasters, Vinay Kamath and Deepak Justin started a new Toastmasters club in Bangalore. They called it LA1924 Toastmasters Club. Starting with a few members initially, this club has helped numerous individuals to overcome their number one fear – the fear of public speaking!
Over the years, the club has churned out some outstanding speakers and leaders who have in turn brought laurels to the club and the Toastmasters Fraternity. The first distinguished Toastmaster from our District was from LA1924. The club itself has achieved the Distinguished Club status from Toastmasters International nine times in the last ten years!
LA1924 Toastmasters club is affiliated to Toastmasters International which is a world leader in Communication and Leadership development.
At LA1924 we believe in and live by the club’s motto – “For Excellence in Communication and Leadership, the Buck Stops Here!!”.
